Jade won PITCH, the Web Summit Rio's startup competition
Jade won Web Summit Rio startup competition
The Web Summit is the largest technology and innovation event in the world, held annually since 2009. This year's edition (2023) was the first to take place outside Europe, with Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) as the host city.
The conference brought together more than 21,000 people from 91 countries, including technology experts, company representatives, entrepreneurs, and investors. It was four days full of learning and networking.
The objective is to present what's new in the market, reflect on technological trends, and connect innovative projects to potential investors and partners.
Jade's participation in Web Summit
During the 4-day event, Ronaldo Cohin, CEO, and Joice Andrade, Scientific Director, represented us at the Web Summit Rio. They connected with potential investors, tech professionals and government representatives.
In addition, our inclusive education solutions gained even more visibility through participation in two
startup competitions. The first was Sebrae Startups, where we were among the finalists, and the second was
PITCH, Web Summit Rio's startup pitching competition, which brought together early-stage businesses.
Among
974 startups from different countries, 42 were selected to go on stage.
Even though it was fierce, Jade Autism won PITCH, the main competition of the biggest technology and innovation event!
To Ronaldo, "It was a very high-level competition, a great opportunity to test Jade's solutions. I say this because Jade's social purpose is important, but it cannot stand alone. Therefore, I needed to clearly present the other aspects of the company, showing our business plan, expansion model, and the investment we are making in research and development to create new products. For all these reasons I'm very happy with the victory! It was worth participating in Web Summit Rio".
About Jade
Jade is a company born from the personal mission of a father searching for tools to support his son’s development, a child with autism. Today, it promotes inclusive education through technology, ensuring that no neurodivergent child is left behind in their development.
Our products, Jade App, Jade Edu, Jade Academy, and Jade Astea, foster students’ cognitive development through games, support educators in their daily practice, and provide resources for the early detection of potential autism, enabling schools to deliver a truly individualized and inclusive approach.
We continue our mission because there is still a significant gap between what science already knows about cognitive development and what actually reaches schools and families.
